The newest preseason watchlist for the Biletnikoff Award has been released. This accolade is awarded annually to the most exceptional receiver, regardless of position, so it encompasses wide receivers, tight ends, and others who make a significant impact.

Notable players like Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka and UNLV’s Ricky White have made the 2024 preseason watchlist. However, some anticipated top performers have been excluded. LSU’s Kyren Lacy, who amassed 30 catches, 558 yards, and 7 touchdowns last season and is returning for his fifth year, is not included. Similarly, sophomore transfer Evan Stewart, projected to be Oregon’s No. 2 receiver this season, is missing from the list.
On the other hand, Tez Johnson of Oregon, who has not appeared on the watchlist before, is now recognized. Colorado’s LaJohntay Wester and his teammate, two-way player Travis Hunter, also make the list. Oklahoma State’s Rashod Owens and Brennan Presley are included as well.
Interestingly, top teams like Alabama, Georgia, and Texas do not have any receivers featured on the list. The Biletnikoff Award, established and sponsored by the Tennessee Quarterback Club Foundation, continues to spotlight the best in receiving talent each year.
