
On Monday, Tate Pritchard, a forward for the Sioux City Musketeers, announced his verbal commitment to the Gophers men’s hockey team through his Instagram story.
Tate Pritchard, from Savage, Minnesota, was a standout at Lakeville South High School alongside Gophers transfer Tanner Ludtke. For the past two seasons, he has played for the Sioux City Musketeers in the USHL. Initially committed to Minnesota State Mankato, Pritchard decommitted in April.
Last season, he tallied 53 points, including 19 goals and 34 assists, in 54 games for the Musketeers. Turning 21 in November, he has the potential to make an immediate impact for the Gophers this season, with promising long-term prospects in Minnesota’s system.
