Oregon State football is boosting its backfield with added talent and experience. On Monday, former Louisiana Tech running back Marquis Crosby committed to the Beavers as a transfer. The redshirt senior could team up with fellow redshirt senior Anthony Hankerson to create a formidable running back tandem for OSU.
Oregon State is enhancing its backfield by adding Marquis Crosby, a versatile and experienced running back from Louisiana Tech. Last season, Crosby ran for 214 yards on 53 carries with one touchdown for the Bulldogs, though an injury sidelined him for most of 2023. As a sophomore in 2022, he showcased his potential, rushing for 918 yards and nine touchdowns.
Despite a dip in production post-injury, the Beavers are optimistic about Crosby’s skills and experience as he joins redshirt senior Anthony Hankerson and new quarterback Maalik Murphy. Crosby also displayed his versatility in October, throwing a touchdown pass on a trick play against Middle Tennessee State as a left-handed passer.

Hankerson appeared in all 12 games last season for the Beavers, rushing for 1,082 yards and scoring 15 touchdowns. Oregon State’s running back group also includes Salahadin Allah, Jake Reichle, and Cornell Hatcher Jr.
