CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State welcomed veteran transfer post Lizzy Williamson to the team on Thursday.
The 6-foot-5 graduate student from Adelaide, Australia, joins the Beavers from NC State, where she contributed to the Wolfpack’s 2024 Final Four run. Previously, Williamson earned the 2022-23 WAC Defensive Player of the Year title at Southern Utah.
Pending NCAA approval for a medical redshirt due to a season-ending injury after playing only five games in 2024-25, Williamson will have one year of eligibility with the Beavers.
“Lizzy is a game-changer and a perfect fit for our system, bringing versatility as a big on both ends of the court. Her experience will elevate our team on and off the floor,” said head coach Scott Rueck. “Beaver Nation will love cheering for her.”

At NC State, Williamson appeared in 24 games over two seasons, starting once before her injury. During three years at Southern Utah, she played 69 games, starting 56, and averaged 9.6 points and 10 rebounds in her final season with the Thunderbirds.
In her WAC DPOY campaign in 2022-23, Williamson averaged 2.3 blocks per game, led Southern Utah to the NCAA Tournament, and set a program record with 329 rebounds in a season, earning second-team all-conference honors.
An academic standout, Williamson received Big Sky and WAC All-Academic honors at Southern Utah and was named to the ACC All-Academic team twice at NC State.
Williamson is the third transfer to join Oregon State this offseason, alongside Néné Sow and Jenna Villa. The Beavers, coming off their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and ninth since 2014 under Rueck, return three starters from last season’s WCC Championship squad.
