Michigan State continues to make moves on the recruiting trail as they prepare to host 2026 three-star safety Brayden Thomas for an official visit later this month. Just a day after receiving an offer from the Spartans, Thomas announced via his X (formerly Twitter) account that he’ll be in East Lansing the weekend of May 30.

Currently committed to Iowa State since February, Thomas remains open to new opportunities, and this visit could signal a potential flip in his recruitment.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Thomas is rated as the No. 67 safety in the 2026 class, the No. 30 overall player in Ohio, and No. 818 nationally. He holds over 10 scholarship offers, with programs like James Madison, Miami (OH), Toledo, and Colorado State also in the mix.

Michigan State’s push to land Thomas marks another important step in bolstering its future secondary.
