Reaction:

The transfer portal rankings should be taken with skepticism, as they’re still a developing metric and may shift before the season begins. The fact that On3 lists Nehemiah Turner, Robert Vaihola, and Jaylen Crocker-Johnson as unranked raises questions about their list’s reliability.

Minnesota has significantly bolstered its roster this offseason, with top transfers like Bobby Durkin, Chansey Willis Jr., and Langston Reynolds, all from mid-major conferences, needing to prove themselves in the Big Ten. Given the inconsistent track record of such rankings, only the season’s results will reveal the true impact of the Gophers’ additions.
