This could spark celebrations across the city. For some time, the Tennessee football team has been in a strong position with 5-star running back Savion Hiter. He’s made multiple visits to Knoxville, with his official visit scheduled for June 20.
Hiter was on campus last weekend for the ‘865 Live’ event, an unexpected but welcome appearance. His visit went exceptionally well. So much so that recruiting insider Adam Gorney has now officially predicted that the Vols will secure Hiter’s commitment. Needless to say, this would be a massive recruiting victory for Coach Heupel and his staff.
5-star RB Savion Hiter has been predicted to commit to Tennessee football
If Savion Hiter commits, Tennessee’s 2026 class would be stacked with 5-star talent: quarterback Faizon Brandon, running back Hiter, and in-state offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda paving the way. Adding Hiter, per the 247Sports Composite, would be a massive coup—he’s a 5-star, the No. 1 running back nationally, No. 1 player from Virginia, and No. 17 overall. He’s got all the makings of a college superstar.
However, landing him won’t be a cakewalk. Hiter’s official visit to Knoxville on June 20 is one of four—he’s also visiting Ohio State this weekend, Georgia on June 6, and Michigan on June 13. Those are his finalists, and the race is tight. While recruiting insider Adam Gorney has predicted Hiter to Tennessee, others have echoed that sentiment before. The upcoming visits will be critical, and Coach Heupel’s staff will need to pull out all the stops when Hiter arrives in Knoxville.
