Gophers Land Sharpshooting Eden Prairie 6-7 Top Star

Eden Prairie’s Nolen Anderson received a scholarship offer from the Gophers on July 14 and gave his verbal commitment to the program just over two weeks later, announcing his decision on Thursday.

The 6-foot-6 standout has been making waves on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit while playing with local AAU team D1 Minnesota. After spending last season at Eden Prairie, Anderson is expected to suit up for Wayzata High School in the 2025–26 season.

According to the latest 247Sports Composite rankings, Anderson is a three-star prospect, ranked No. 166 nationally and No. 4 in Minnesota. He chose Minnesota over other notable offers from Virginia Tech, Drake, and Northern Iowa.

Though Niko Medved has only been at the helm of the Gophers for a short time, he’s already making a strong impression on the local recruiting scene. Anderson becomes the second in-state commitment in the 2026 class, joining East Ridge guard Cedric Tomes.
