3-Game Suspension Looms for Vikings’ Rising Offensive Star

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Vikings are preparing to be without wide receiver Jordan Addison for the first three games of the season due to a potential suspension.

Fowler notes the NFL has typically issued three-game suspensions for DUI-related offenses in recent years, though final decisions remain at the league’s discretion.

Addison recently accepted a plea deal tied to a DUI charge from July 2023, clearing the way for the league to proceed with possible disciplinary action.

The 23-year-old was the Vikings’ first-round pick in 2023, selected No. 23 overall. He’s entering the third season of his four-year, $14.99 million rookie deal, which included a $7.9 million signing bonus. Minnesota holds a fifth-year option for 2027, which must be exercised by May.

Last season, Addison played in 15 games, posting 63 catches for 875 yards and nine touchdowns.

We’ll continue to monitor updates as they become available.
