Gophers Add Another Elite Recruit to 2026 Stacked Recruiting Class

The Minnesota Gophers’ 2026 women’s basketball recruiting class was already impressive with top-100 guard Tori Oehrlein on board, and it just got stronger with the addition of fellow top-100 prospect Natalie Kussow.

Kussow, a standout from Hartland, Wisconsin, announced her decision by saying she’s “incredibly excited and honored to commit to the University of Minnesota to continue my academic and athletic journey,” while also thanking her family, friends, coaches, and supporters.

The reigning Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year, Kussow dominated last season at Arrowhead High School, averaging 26.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 3.8 steals per game.

At 5-foot-10, Kussow enters the Gophers’ 2026 class as its highest-rated prospect, checking in at No. 47 overall in ESPN’s rankings — just ahead of Oehrlein at No. 62. Both are regarded as four-star talents.

Recruiting service 247Sports is even higher on the pair, listing Kussow at No. 26 nationally and Oehrlein at No. 36.
