A former Husker wide receiver was apprehended in Stanton County.
According to the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Friday, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 15, located northeast of Pilger.
The driver, later identified as 23-year-old Zavier Betts, was found to have a suspended license. Additionally, he was wanted for a probation violation related to a drug offense in Woodbury County, Iowa.
Betts was arrested and is currently awaiting extradition to Iowa.
