Just weeks after Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo was selected by the New York Giants, his former teammate Jordyn Tyson is drawing major attention as one of the top wide receiver prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft.
Unlike Skattebo, who went on Day 3, Tyson is being projected as a clear first-round talent by Max Chadwick of Pro Football Focus. Tyson had a breakout year, setting career highs in receptions (75), touchdowns (10), and total receiving yards — making it a season to remember.

There’s good reason for Tyson’s growing draft buzz. He’s featured prominently in early mock drafts as a top-15 selection, and he and quarterback Sam Leavitt are being recognized by Chadwick as the top QB-WR duo in the country.
ASU fans are hoping those expectations are fulfilled, especially after a stunning College Football Playoff run in head coach Kenny Dillingham’s second year — a season in which the Sun Devils nearly quadrupled their win total, finishing 11-3 after going 3-9 the year before.

What to Watch in Tyson’s 2025 Return
The key factor for Tyson in the upcoming season will be staying healthy. He rebounded from a knee injury that sidelined most of his 2023 campaign, only to suffer a shoulder injury in the final regular-season game against Arizona.
While fully cleared for spring camp, Tyson did face a minor ankle issue early on but eventually got back in sync with Leavitt on the practice field in Tempe.
