After an impressive 18-year professional basketball career, veteran forward Victor Claver has officially announced his retirement, as confirmed by Valencia Basket.

Claver, a versatile 6-foot-9 combo forward from Spain, was selected 22nd overall in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft. Though he spent the majority of his career playing overseas, he joined the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2012–13 NBA season and remained with the team for three years. During his time in Portland—part of the Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge era—Claver played in 80 games, averaging 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game with modest shooting percentages.
