Gophers Poised to Snag 6’10” Big Man After Dominant Pangos MVP Showing

Boston, Massachusetts – Class of 2026 stretch big man Quinn Costello announced Tuesday that he has received a scholarship offer from Niko Medved and the Minnesota Golden Gophers. It’s his first offer from a Big Ten school.

Standing at 6-foot-10, Costello received the offer on the same day he was named MVP of the 2025 Pangos All-American Camp — one of the nation’s most prestigious showcases for elite high school talent. Past MVPs of the camp include stars like James Harden, John Wall, and Anthony Davis.

A Boston native, Costello competes on the AAU circuit with the Middlesex Magic, a program affiliated with Under Armour. According to the latest 247Sports Composite rankings, he’s listed as the No. 144 overall prospect in the 2026 class, the 28th-ranked power forward nationally, and the fifth-best player in Massachusetts.

He also holds offers from other Power Five programs, including Stanford, Notre Dame, and Vanderbilt.

While Minnesota already has in-state guard Cedric Tomes committed for 2026, Costello quickly emerges as one of the more intriguing prospects for Gophers fans to keep an eye on.
