Notre Dame closed last week with a recruiting surge, securing three major commitments for the 2026 class—and the momentum might not be slowing down.
Four-star wide receiver Kaydon Finley, a recent visitor from Texas, is now projected to commit to the Fighting Irish. Finley, the son of former Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley, received a crystal ball prediction from Max Torres of On3 over the weekend—ironically while Finley was on an official visit to the University of Texas.
Standing at 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, Finley stars at Aledo High School in Texas and is coming off a dominant junior season with 81 catches, 1,432 yards, and 21 touchdowns. He’s considered a top-100 overall player in the 2026 class by On3.
Notre Dame already holds two wide receiver pledges in the 2026 cycle: Jordan Faison out of Florida and Bubba Frazier from Georgia. Finley, along with Devin Fitzgerald—the son of NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald—has recently been projected by separate outlets to ultimately choose Notre Dame.
As of now, the race for Kaydon Finley appears to be down to Notre Dame and Texas. However, as is often the case in recruiting, nothing is final until a signature is on the dotted line. Finley is expected to make his college decision official on July 4.
