Gophers hockey had hinted at a major update this week, and on Wednesday, it was revealed that CCM is expanding its partnership with the team.
The Gophers have been outfitted in Nike uniforms since 2008 and haven’t worn CCM gear since the 1990s. Starting in the 2025-26 season, both the men’s and women’s hockey teams will make the switch.
“We’re thrilled to strengthen our partnership with CCM through this new jersey agreement,” said Deputy Athletics Director Tom McGinnis in a statement. “We value their support of the traditions of our men’s and women’s hockey programs and look forward to building on this relationship moving ahead.”
Minnesota also confirmed that replica jerseys are now available at the Golden Gophers Fan Shop. “A limited number of authentic jerseys will be released later this fall. Watch for them at 3M Arena at Mariucci and online!” the program noted on its X account.
Minnesota men’s hockey is just 23 days from kicking off the 2025-26 season at home against Michigan Tech on October 3. While the uniform design remains largely the same, the team is returning to one of hockey’s most iconic apparel brands.
