Levi Harper, a 2008-born defenseman from Tampa, Florida, gave his verbal commitment to Gophers hockey on Wednesday, ahead of starting his first OHL season with the Saginaw Spirit in 2025-26.
“On Wednesday, Harper shared on Instagram that he was ‘very excited and proud’ to commit to playing Division I hockey and continuing his education at the University of Minnesota, while thanking God, his family, friends, coaches, advisor, and supporters who have guided him along the way. Standing 5-foot-11, Harper spent the past three seasons with Shattuck-St. Mary’s, where he tallied 44 points (11 goals, 33 assists) in 55 games during the 2024-25 campaign. He becomes the eighth prep player to commit to the Gophers this summer.”
