Birmingham City handed Leeds United transfer boost as stance emerges

Birmingham City’s loan player, Cody Drameh, reportedly has no plans to extend his contract with Leeds United, his parent club. The 21-year-old right-back, currently on a season-long loan at St Andrew’s, has made a positive impression.

While there is an option for Birmingham to make the deal permanent next summer, Drameh’s contract with Leeds is set to expire at the end of the season.

According to The Athletic, Leeds would only be entitled to compensation if he agrees to an extension, but it appears unlikely.

Previous reports indicated that Birmingham, under former boss John Eustace, quickly moved to secure Drameh’s signature. Eustace emphasized the desire to retain successful loan players, creating a sense of belonging within the club. Under Wayne Rooney’s management, Drameh has started in all five games so far.
