Cardiff will face a decision if they receive an offer from another team, as King is currently assured of consistent playing time at Morecambe. He is making positive strides with the North West club, aiming for an immediate promotion to League One this season.

King is set to complete the entire campaign with Morecambe before returning to the Cardiff City Stadium next summer, with his contract expiring in June 2026. The Wales youth international has been a key presence, making 20 appearances across various competitions this season and contributing with two goals and three assists.

Having been part of Cardiff throughout his entire career, King has progressed through the ranks of the Championship side’s academy. He has been a regular player at different youth levels for the Bluebirds, making his first-team debut in 2021 during a league match against Middlesbrough. Since then, he has appeared five times at the senior level. King was granted permission to go on loan to Crewe Alexandra last year to gain valuable experience, featuring in 18 matches for the Railwaymen.
