The conclusion of the 2023 Georgia football season saw a 27 to 24 defeat to the Alabama Crimson Tide, marking the end of the 2023 roster era. Following this loss, there is anticipation of NFL Draft declarations, entries into the NCAA Transfer Portal, and notable roster changes for the Bulldogs.

However, in a positive development, Georgia is bolstering its roster with the addition of Xzavier McLeod, a former South Carolina defensive lineman who has committed to the Bulldogs. McLeod brings a valuable skill set that will enhance the Bulldogs’ defensive line, contributing both depth and improvement.

Having spent only one season with the Gamecocks before transferring, McLeod will have multiple years of eligibility remaining upon his arrival in Athens. As players reveal their intentions in the coming days and weeks, the roster movements will be continuously updated. Notably, McLeod was highly regarded as one of the top defensive line prospects during his high school days.
