curing promising talent like Jaden Springer, have further fortified their roster. As the buyout market emerges, it would be prudent for the Celtics to consider pursuing players like Danilo Gallinari and/or Thaddeus Young.

While the Celtics already possess considerable depth, enhancing it could only benefit their aspirations for a deep playoff run. With a vacant roster spot available, they could opt to convert a player like Neemias Queta from a two-way contract. However, exploring opportunities to acquire additional seasoned veterans would be a strategic move on their part.

Gallinari emerges as a top contender in the buyout market, particularly noteworthy due to his recent stint with the Detroit Pistons. Despite playing only a limited number of games for them before being waived, Gallinari’s versatility as a combo forward presents a valuable asset for any team. In the Celtics’ case, he could serve as a seasoned backup option at the small forward position, currently occupied by Sam Hauser.

Returning this season after a year-long absence due to an ACL injury, Gallinari showcased his scoring prowess in previous seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. While his numbers saw a slight dip this year, his efficiency remained commendable, evident from his impressive shooting percentages in the brief stint with the Pistons—54.5 percent from the field and 58.3 percent from beyond the arc across six games.

Given his skill set, Gallinari is anticipated to attract interest from multiple teams, creating competition for his services. However, the prospect of assuming a significant role within a championship-contending team like the Celtics might be enticing enough to sway his decision.
