Campbell’s transfer and sophomore wing Anthony Dell’Orso has announced his commitment to Arizona, as reported by ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.

Dell’Orso, who earned second-team All-Conference honors for the Fighting Camels last season, averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. He shot 49.2% from the field and 38% from beyond the arc. Dell’Orso was also frequent at the free-throw line, averaging 4.9 attempts per game and shooting 80.9%.

Standing at 6-foot-6, Dell’Orso is currently exploring his options for the NBA Draft, although he is not ranked in ESPN’s top 100 prospects and was not invited to the NBA Combine or G League Elite Camp.

Arizona’s head coach, Tommy Lloyd, is facing significant changes to his roster, possibly losing the entire starting lineup. Point guard Kylan Boswell transferred to Illinois, and center Oumar Ballo now plays for Indiana. Wings Pelle Larsson and Keshad Johnson are anticipated to be drafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, while the decision of Pac-12 Player of the Year Caleb Love remains uncertain.

Love, with one year of eligibility left, initially entered the draft but did not receive an invite to the combine. He did, however, receive an invitation to the G League Elite Camp. Many draft projections don’t foresee Love being selected, leaving open the possibility of his return to Arizona.

Guard Jaden Bradley is expected to return, as is K.J. Lewis. Motiejus Krivas, who backed up Ballo as a freshman, will now step into the starting lineup at the 5 spot. The incoming freshman class includes four top 100 commits, among them top-20 prospect Carter Bryant, expected to start on the wing. Joining Krivas in the frontcourt will be Oakland transfer Trey Townsend, the reigning Horizon League Player of the Year.
