The New England Patriots are parting ways with a former Pro Bowl player, just one game left in their 2024 season.
Veteran pass-rusher Yannick Ngakoue was released by the Patriots on Tuesday, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Ngakoue was acquired by New England in November after being waived by the Baltimore Ravens.
He played in six games for the Patriots, recording 9 tackles. Prior to joining the Patriots, he appeared in five games with the Ravens, registering 5 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
Ngakoue also played in the Patriots’ 40-7 defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday, where he was flagged for roughing the passer.
