Exciting developments are unfolding at the University of Alabama through the NCAA transfer portal. Quarterback Austin Mack was successfully recruited from Washington, and now Kalen DeBoer has secured his second player from the Huskies for the Crimson Tide. On Saturday, offensive lineman Parker Brailsford, a standout at 6 feet 2 inches and 275 pounds, officially committed to Alabama. Brailsford, recognized as one of the premier centers in college football, played a pivotal role in guiding Washington’s offensive unit to win the Joe Moore Award in 2023. This accomplishment propelled the Huskies to 14 victories, a Pac-12 Championship, a triumph over Texas in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, and an appearance in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against Michigan.

Brailsford’s exceptional performance protected quarterback Michael Penix, who amassed an impressive 4,903 passing yards and 39 total touchdowns. Additionally, his strategic blocking schemes contributed to running back Dillon Johnson’s success, with a total of 1,195 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns on 233 carries. Thanks to Brailsford’s expertise on the offensive line, Washington boasted two 1,000-yard receivers.
