According to Tigers’ journalist Chris McCosky on social media, Greene commented on his swing following his Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, saying, “The initial swings I took during my hitting regimen went smoothly. I didn’t experience any discomfort. It genuinely feels like business as usual now.”

While Riley Greene may be gradually introduced to spring training activities this year, it appears likely that he will be ready to take the field for the Tigers once Opening Day arrives at the end of March. This is particularly encouraging news for the Tigers, who have aspirations of contending in the 2024 season. Following a second-place finish in 2023, the team has bolstered its roster with experienced players such as Kenta Maeda, Jack Flaherty, and Mark Canha.
