Update on RB Keaton Mitchell injury

MITCHELL, RAVENS, RB, LIKELY DONE FOR SEASON
Sunday night’s 23-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars most likely resulted in a season-ending knee injury for Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell.

Before suffering a stomach-turning knee injury early in the fourth quarter that required him to be helped off the field and then carted to the locker room, Mitchell was having a fantastic game. He had 73 rushing yards and two receptions for 15 yards. Mitchell was declared out of the game right away, and it is believed that he will miss the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs. To add depth, Melvin Gordon will be added by Baltimore to the active roster.

In addition, offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley suffered a concussion and safety Marcus Williams was sidelined with a groin injury on the final play of the first half for the Ravens.

Keaton Mitchell, the running back for the Ravens, was injured early in the fourth quarter after gaining 13 yards down the right sideline. With an awkward fall, he grabbed his knee as soon as the ambulance raced onto the field. It was necessary to carry Mitchell to the sidelines and off the field.

Mitchell has been declared out of the game for the duration after being wheeled to the locker room.

Ravens liberate security Marcus Williams appeared to have been hurt on the final play of the first half while making the touchdown-saving tackle on Zay Jones, so Geno Smith was in on the Jags’ opening drive of the second half.

Williams may not play again due to a groin injury.
