Amidst the NFL Draft and NBA playoffs dominating sports headlines, college football recruiting has been relatively subdued. However, Ohio State’s recruiting efforts remain consistently active, as evidenced by their recent attention-grabbing move.

Over the weekend, Ohio State welcomed Dakorien Moore, a 2025 LSU wide receiver commit from Duncanville, Texas, for a visit. Reports emerging about the visit suggest it went exceptionally well, particularly since Moore was accompanied by his mother, adding a personal touch to the experience.

Originally planned for the spring game, Moore rescheduled his visit due to a conflicting track meet, which Ohio State appreciated. Being the sole recruit on campus further personalized the visit for Moore, according to insights from Steve Wiltfong of On3, who confirmed Ohio State’s strong position in Moore’s considerations.

Despite committing to LSU last August, Moore remains actively pursued by other schools like Texas and Oregon, with recent visits to Texas preceding his Ohio State trip. As the summer progresses, Moore’s recruitment is expected to remain active, though a decision could potentially be made before his senior season begins.

Ranked as the top wide receiver and the third overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Moore holds significant allure for college programs, especially being the top recruit from Texas.
