BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama’s Tyler Booker was named Southeastern Conference Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week, while Jihaad Campbell and Jalen Milroe earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week and Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the league announced on Monday.
Booker played a key role in Alabama’s 42-13 victory over then-No. 15/14/13 LSU on Saturday, earning his second consecutive weekly award and the third of his career. Campbell turned in a career-high performance against LSU, earning his first weekly honor of the season and the second of his Alabama career, after also receiving Co-Defensive Player of the Week recognition on October 23, 2023. Milroe’s standout play as quarterback in the win at Death Valley earned him his third weekly accolade of 2024. He had previously been named Offensive Player of the Week after victories over Wisconsin and then-No. 2/1 Georgia. With these latest honors, Alabama has now garnered 10 weekly awards from the SEC this season.
Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week
Tyler Booker
He continued his stellar season with another standout performance in the top-15 showdown, contributing to Alabama’s 420 yards of total offense and 42 points against LSU.
As a key force on the offensive line, he helped ensure that Alabama’s unit allowed no sacks against LSU’s formidable pass rush. His blocking opened up running lanes for the Tide’s backs, who combined for 311 rushing yards and six touchdowns.
He also provided crucial protection for quarterback Jalen Milroe, who finished with 109 passing yards and 185 rushing yards. The coaching staff graded him at 91 percent for his efforts.
With a team-high 10 knockdown blocks, he allowed no pressures and committed no penalties in the victory over the Tigers.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Jihaad Campbell
He was dominant in Death Valley, helping the Tide stifle LSU’s offense and limit them to just 13 points, with only two field goals until the final moments of the game.
Leading the defense with 12 total tackles, including a team-high six solo stops, he made a major impact. He registered a career-best three tackles for loss (–15 yards) and 1.5 sacks (–14 yards), setting new personal single-game highs in both categories.
In addition, he forced a crucial fumble in the second quarter, giving Alabama excellent field position deep in LSU territory, which ultimately led to a touchdown. He also added a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry to his impressive stat line.
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Jalen Milore
He turned in another dominant performance against LSU, this time in Baton Rouge, accounting for 294 total yards on a rain-soaked night—185 rushing and 109 passing.
He exploded for 185 rushing yards and four touchdowns on just 12 carries, averaging an impressive 15.4 yards per carry, which ties for the fourth-best single-game average in Alabama history (minimum 10 carries).
His rushing total is the third-highest ever by a quarterback in Alabama history, and the most by any Tide quarterback since 1979, when Steadman Shealy ran for 190 yards against Mississippi State.
He matched his career high with four rushing touchdowns, becoming only the second player in Alabama history (after Shaun Alexander) to record two games with four or more rushing touchdowns in a career.
He scored on runs from 39, 10, 19, and 72 yards, showcasing his big-play ability. His four touchdowns pushed his season total to 16, setting a new Alabama single-season record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, surpassing Jalen Hurts‘ 13 in 2016.
He also contributed 109 passing yards, completing 12 of 18 attempts.
