The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement with another player from their rookie class. As reported by ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, they have finalized a four-year rookie contract with Nick Samac, a seventh-round pick and offensive lineman from Michigan State, chosen at No. 228 overall in the recent draft. Samac is anticipated to vie for a starting guard position within the offensive line, competing against other contenders like fellow rookie Roger Rosengarten, fourth-year veteran Ben Cleveland, and 2023 seventh-round selection Andrew Vorhees, aiming to fill the vacancies left by John Simpson and Kevin Zeitler.
Despite suffering a broken leg in November during his last game with the Spartans, Samac may be ready for training camp, though he will likely have limited participation in the initial stages of the offseason. General manager Eric DeCosta expressed optimism about Samac’s recovery, noting his resilient mindset and projecting his return to full strength by May.
With Samac’s contract finalized, the Ravens have now secured agreements with five of their rookies, including Nate Wiggins, Roger Rosengarten, T.J. Tampa, and Sanoussi Kane.
